NAPLAN (National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy) is a test conducted every year in the month of May, during second week of the second term. Grade 3, 5, 7 and 9.
This test is to examining general abilities in reading, writing, spelling and numeracy in order to ensure whether students across the Australia are meeting national literacy and numeracy standards. However, due to its standardised nature of the NAPLAN Test, some selective schools are using NAPLAN scores as a method of selecting high achievers.
